584,000 connections in 2025: 51 GW of renewables now on the distribution grid
The review published on 20 April 2026 reports 1.3 million generators connected, including 850,000 self-consumers.
On 20 April 2026, Enedis published its 2025 connection activity review: 584,000 operations, of which 35% were physical connections and 65% activations facilitated by the Linky meter.
In three years, the company has doubled the annual renewable energy capacity connected to the grid. In 2025, 6.6 GW were connected, a record level and twice the 2022 figure.
In total, 51 GW of renewable energy is now connected to the distribution grid, generated by 1.3 million generators. Two thirds of them — 850,000 — are self-consumers, who consume part of the electricity they generate.
Storage continued to grow with 684 new installations connected as at the end of 2025, up 50% compared with the end of 2024.
On the consumption side, Enedis carried out 395,000 connections for consumer customers. One hundred new industrial sites of more than 5 MW were connected to the distribution grid, for a total capacity of 8 GW.
In electric mobility, 11,700 new connections were carried out in 2025.
