Connections in 2025: one operation every 54 seconds on the distribution grid
Published on 28 July 2026, Enedis's annual report records nearly 584,000 operations, including a record 6.6 GW of renewables connected.
On 28 July 2026, Enedis published its annual report on 2025 grid connections, in accordance with the French Energy Regulatory Commission's ruling of 13 March 2025 on TURPE 7 HTA-BT.
In 2025, the operator carried out nearly 584,000 connection and activation operations, i.e. one operation every 54 seconds. This volume confirms the central role of the public distribution grid in the country's electrification.
The year was marked by a record 6.6 GW of renewable energy connected, twice as much as in 2022. Electric mobility continued to grow with 11,700 new connections of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
This review illustrates the adjustments made by the company to meet rising connection requests and customer expectations, in a context where lead times directly determine how projects progress.
For an industrial firm, these volumes speak for themselves: the connection queue has become a planning factor in its own right, on a par with administrative permits.
