"Tension, Attention": one accident involving the power grid every day
Relaunched on 21 May 2026 by Enedis and RTE, the campaign targets farm work, construction sites and outdoor activities.
On 21 May 2026, Enedis and RTE relaunched their "Tension, Attention" prevention campaign, devoted to the risks associated with working close to electrical assets.
The findings justify the effort: every day, an accident involving the power grid occurs, most often during outdoor activities, through a lack of vigilance. These accidents affect professionals and private individuals alike and can have serious, even fatal consequences.
Risk situations multiply as soon as the good weather arrives: farm work, construction sites, tree pruning, fishing, water sports, aerial activities and DIY.
For more than ten years, the campaign has relied on field action as close as possible to those activities: a presence at agricultural shows and leisure events, engagement with professionals and relays through local authorities and social media.
It also relies on partnerships with the most exposed professional and leisure federations, as well as with the construction industry, to set out the essential works declaration procedures, known as DT-DICT, ahead of any work.
These declarations make it possible to identify the power lines present and to adapt prevention measures before work begins.
