World Nuclear Exhibition 2025: EDF concludes a series of industrial agreements
Announced on 6 November 2025, these contracts support the ramp-up of the French nuclear industry.
On 6 November 2025, EDF closed the World Nuclear Exhibition with a series of agreements and contracts designed to support the French nuclear industry.
The World Nuclear Exhibition is the sector's leading international trade show. It brings together operators, equipment manufacturers, service companies and safety authorities, and serves as a meeting point for contracting industrial programmes.
These agreements come during a ramp-up phase: the six-reactor EPR2 programme, continued operation of the existing fleet and international programmes are all drawing on the sector's industrial capacity at the same time.
The challenge for buyers is to secure supplies of heavy components and engineering capacity upfront, in a global market where several nuclear programmes are restarting in parallel.
This strain on industrial supply chains is also found in power grids, where lead times for supplying power transformers have lengthened considerably worldwide.
