The CRE publishes its 2025 activity report

On 18 June 2026, the French Energy Regulatory Commission published its activity report for the 2025 financial year.
The year was a defining one for the French electricity sector. It saw preparations for the end of the regulated access to incumbent nuclear electricity scheme, which expired on 31 December 2025, and the establishment of the framework that succeeds it.
It was also marked by work on the seventh-generation tariff for the use of public electricity networks, whose March 2025 ruling notably paved the way for the reform of off-peak hours.
The report covers all of the regulator's remits: infrastructure regulation, wholesale market monitoring, consumer protection, oversight of non-interconnected zones and the assessment of renewable energy tenders.
This work shapes the economic framework within which the investment decisions of electro-intensive industrial firms are taken, from grid connection through to monetising their flexibility.
