France 2030: five years of schemes to decarbonise industry

On 1 July 2026, ADEME drew up a review of the roll-out of the France 2030 schemes entrusted to it, five years after the plan was launched in October 2021.
Led by the General Secretariat for Investment, France 2030 supports innovation, reindustrialisation, research and training projects. ADEME deploys part of it alongside three other operators: the National Research Agency, Bpifrance and the Caisse des dépôts et consignations.
Structured around ten objectives and six levers, the plan has accelerated the decarbonisation of the economy and helped bring forward industrial champions. The schemes have covered all mainland regions and the overseas territories, as well as companies of all sizes.
The review comes as the Government launches a wide-ranging Electrification Plan designed to support the country's carbon neutrality objectives.
The issues covered range from decarbonising industry to decarbonising mobility, with one common thread: reducing dependence on imported fossil fuels while preserving productive activity within the country.
