ADEME Académie: a training platform for the ecological transition
Launched on 16 June 2026, it aims to make the skills needed for the transition more accessible.
On 16 June 2026, ADEME launched ADEME Académie, a platform designed to facilitate training for the ecological transition.
The initiative responds to a widely documented obstacle: the availability of skills is one of the main limiting factors of the transition, on a par with financing or administrative permits.
This is particularly true of technical occupations. The power grid sector anticipates recruitment needs of several thousand people, with RTE citing 8,000 to 10,000 jobs linked to its investment programme running to 2040.
The occupations concerned are varied: heat pump installers, grid line workers, maintenance technicians for renewable installations, in-house energy managers and thermal engineering consultants.
The platform complements more specialised schemes, such as the PROREFEI training courses for industrial energy managers under the PACTE Industrie programme.
