"Demain mon territoire": 23 thematic factsheets for local elected officials
Published on 20 July 2026 by ADEME, the OFB and the ministry, this guide covers the main levers available to local authorities.
On 20 July 2026, the Ministry for Ecological Transition, ADEME and the French Biodiversity Office published a new edition of the guide "Demain mon territoire", intended for municipal and inter-municipal elected officials.
Following a first edition published in 2020, this partnership brings together the expertise of ADEME and the OFB to offer elected officials a more comprehensive approach to the ecological transition of local areas.
Designed as a practical tool, the guide brings together 23 thematic factsheets covering the main levers available to local authorities: renewable energy, mobility, sustainable food, biodiversity, protection of local areas, awareness-raising and the revitalisation of town centres.
Each factsheet sets out the issues and key figures, possible commitments for elected officials, and concrete implementation options illustrated by examples.
Local authorities occupy a particular position in the energy system: as granting authorities for the distribution grids, they are also owners of substantial building estates and buyers for public lighting and vehicle fleets.
