Low-carbon vessels: first three winners of the CORIMER scheme
Announced on 10 February 2026 at the Euromaritime trade show, these projects support innovation in marine propulsion.
On 10 February 2026, at the Euromaritime trade show, the ministers responsible for ecological transition, transport, maritime affairs and industry, together with the general secretary for investment, announced the first three winners of the France 2030 "CORIMER Navire Bas Carbone" scheme.
Launched in January 2025, this call for projects aims to support innovative solutions that rapidly and lastingly reduce shipping emissions.
It is led by the Council for Research and Innovation Guidance for the Marine Industries and managed by the General Secretariat for Investment.
The scheme forms part of the France 2030 ambition: to lastingly transform key sectors of the economy through technological innovation.
Shipping faces a particular decarbonisation difficulty: the long distances and the range required limit direct electrification, which steers solutions towards synthetic fuels produced from decarbonised electricity.
